Fat Bike
Originally designed and used for riding in the Pacific Northwest over snow, ice and beaches that would be inaccessible on a normal mountain bike, fat bikes feature enormous tyres that are designed to tackle any terrain conceivable, slowly.
This is another very young genre of cycling that is still finding its feet, with multiple standards for wheel and tyre sizes, and frames manufactured from steel, aluminium, titanium and even carbon fibre.
